HELLO: Cherokee, NC - Family Weekend Trip

Hey, hey everyone!

It's been awhile since I've updated my blog and I have promised myself several times about updating every other day or at least every week, but that's been very unsuccessful. See, I just started a new job and have been studying non-stop for my accounting summer class. So, I've been staying very busy, like always.

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I went on a short vaca' with my fambam to Cherokee, NC. It's a usual weekend vacation for us and we would go there every couple months or so.

We would always stay at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Hotel because my parents have a membership and members get great deals! Anyways, if you have never been to Cherokee Casino, there are a few things you can do, other than gamble, of course. They have an indoor and an outside pool, a beautiful (and expensive) spa, and there's a river that runs right there at the casino. Very beautiful and you can walk down to the river or even fish, I've seen people done before.

There's also an arcade! If there's two things that my siblings love staying at the hotel, it's because of the pool and the arcade. Oh, and if take a close look at the Deal or No Deal screen behind me, we won 400 tickets! The case we selected had the highest amount! Woot woot!

There are several places you can dine. There's Chefs Stage Buffet, a Paula Dean's restaurant, and my family's favorite, Brio Tuscan Grille. Delicious food! I always order their Italian cuisines.

There's also tons and tons of fun excitement that you can do in Cherokee. On our second day, we went to the river that my family loves coming to every time we're down in Cherokee. You can fish there, there's picnic tables for folks to have lunch, you can go tubing or just play in the river. Oh, you can also feed the ducks there, which we always go buy bread before hitting up the river because the kids love playing with the ducks.

Although the river is cold! I could only dip my feet in for 10 seconds! If only it was a very hot sunny day then it would be perfect to play in the river.

Afterwards, there's a place called Cherokee Fun Park that has an arcade, two different courses of go-karts, miniature golf, and other small activities for children. Since last time we visited we rode the go-karts, this time we wanted to try out the miniature golf course. I haven't played in the longest time but I still got some skills that I'm proud to claim!

Anyways, this park is beautiful!

They got fishes in the lake where you can feed them.

Such a beautiful scenery indeed! It was so nice to play miniature golf out there.

After our miniature golf fun, we went to the downtown plaza where there's a neat water fountain for the kids to play. Surrounding the water fountain are small tourist shops, an ice cream shop, and other neat stores. The neat thing that the kids love playing at the fountain is that it shoots out water and mist every now and then, the water is not too cold, and there's props like rocks for the children to play.

Here's a picture of us at the pool back at the Harrah's Casino, after our long adventure. We still can't get enough of the water. This is a beautiful but small outdoor pool that they just build this past Winter. It's only 3 ft deep. Yes, really tiny, primarily for children, but it's great that it's not too deep. The indoor pool is about 6 ft deep. But one feature that I love that they added to the outdoor pool is a bar and the food there is oh-so-yummy!

If you ever get the chance to go and you're chillin' down the pool, order their quesadillas! It's to die for! Oh, and their margaritas, fantastic as well!

Well, that wraps up my Cherokee, NC adventures. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
